Set up a digital map for download. All seemed to work fine. I tested by purchasing the map, got an email with the link to the download, clicked on it and the download started (a 16MB file).
This is what the link in the email looked like:
About 2/3 of the way through the download I got a message saying “There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired.”
I used FTP and downloaded a copy of the file and it opens fine so I know it is not damaged. Ideas on what the issue might be??

That is not an eStore error message. Please try using the download manager that is built into your browser.
Not sure what that means. I’ve tried to download using both Safari and Firefox and the file starts downloading then about halfway through I get the same error message.
Looked at the debug log and see this info for the download. About 2/3 of the file downloads before shutting down and generating the error:
[04/07/2011 12:20 PM] – Status : Unresolved DL file path = [https://sbtrails.org/wp-content/store/maps/FrontMap.021211.pdf]
[04/07/2011 12:20 PM] – Status : Resolved DL file path = /home/riveray/sbtrails.org/www/docroot/wp-content/store/maps/FrontMap.021211.pdf
[04/07/2011 12:20 PM] – Status : Dispatching DL method = 1
[04/07/2011 12:20 PM] – SUCCESS : DL completed with no server-side errors detected.
Which program, gives you the message “There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired.” It is not an eStore message, and it is not a Firefox message.
Also, the message implies that instead of first saving the downloaded file, that you are trying to open it; as it is being downloaded.
Please try some of these suggestions…
