Error Code/Stamper won't stamp

I just replaced the old stamper plugin with a newer version.

I am now getting the following error message when I try to manually stamp the file:

An error occurred while trying to stamp the file!

Message: Cannot open ! Error Code: 1

I tried deactivating all the other plugins but that didn’t work.

What could be the problem?

Looks like the file you are trying to stamp is corrupt or the URL is incorrect.

Can you please share the URL of the PDF file that you are trying to stamp?

You were right, the file was corrupted.

I replaced the file and everything is working now.

Sorry, but I’m still getting the same Error Message:

FAILURE :An error occured while trying to stamp the file! Error details: Message: Cannot open ! Error Code: 1

I replaced the files and that allowed me to manually stamp the pdf files but when someone makes a purchase I still get this error message.

What else could be wrong?

Turned out that the URL you specified is wrong for this file (it’s missing the “www” in the URL)

When you specify the URL please make sure you use the EXACT SAME URL that you used when you tested the stamping using the manual stamping feature.

After installing and activating PDF Stamper I get the above message when attempting a manual test stamp. The url for the pdf i’m using is correct because I’m able to view it in a browser, but it doesn’t match the location listed in the error above. The url above is listing the folder that houses the wordpress installation for this site twice and it doesn’t appear that way in my file directory. I.e., the error message above says:

/wordpress-installation-folder/wordpress-installation-folder/wp-content/uploads/pdf-stamper-sample-ebook.pdf

When the actual file path is:

/wordpress-installation-folder/wp-content/uploads/pdf-stamper-sample-ebook.pdf
