Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP Affiliate Platform › WP Affiliate Troubleshooting › Entire commission is subtracted when partial refund is issued
Hi,
We recently implemented WP eStore with WP Affiliate Platform.
I checked the “Use Automatic Commission Reversal” option in WP Affiliate Platform but we’ve run into an unexpected issue.
When we issue a partial refund, WP Affiliate Platform reverses the entire commission. Is there away to have it only refund part of the commission?
After I noticed it, I audited all commissions and manually awarded commissions to the affiliate who was impacted.
Thanks!
Michael
Yes, it does that intentionally:
Partial refund is offered rarely and most users who offer partial refund don’t want to offer commission on that transaction (because the partial money you keep is for covering your main expenses so there is nothing to give to the affiliate from it). How many partial refunds do you do in a month (just an estimated value will do)?
Hi,
Not many. Over 3 months, we might do a dozen or so. For the particular order where I noticed it, we had made 2 partial refunds on the same order, so the commission was refunded twice. I guess now that I know, I can just audit the refunds before making affiliate payments… I’m just trying to automate as much as possible.
Thanks!
Michael
