Tagged: APR, APRPT, encrypted link, redirect
A customer gets a working encrypted link:
The Demon of Castlebury Video On Demand – http://www.moongoyle.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/download.php?file=2xOa%2FCsCVfSXhaXs
They click that and it resolves to a page that anyone can then copy/paste the URL and share – I’m trying to get it to mask the URL and so far no luck. What am I not doing correctly?
Thank you for your help!
I checked and I have the “Downloadable” box checked under the product options.
As of eStore version 5.6.6 we support a secure “one-off” Authenticated Page Redirect (APR) feature.

The secret is I the cookie.
Thank you very much wzp for your help.
I created the link as aprtp://www.moongoyle.com/the-demon-of-castlebury-vod/ under the Digital options and updated the code on the page:
<div align=”center”>
<h1>The Demon of Castlebury</h1>
[wp_eStore_APR expiry=0 status=unexpired][s3mv]demon-1315-mov.f4v,720,405,true,true[/s3mv][/wp_eStore_APR]</div>
Test purchase email link I got –
The Demon of Castlebury Video On Demand – http://www.moongoyle.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/download.php?file=2xOa%2FCsCVfWWhanr
It still resolves to http://www.moongoyle.com/the-demon-of-castlebury-vod/ instead of a masked URL.
Thanks again for your help!
Yes, it will resolve that way, but without the special APR cookie, the content within the short code will not be seen, unless they came by way of the encrypted link, in order to get a cookie. They can share the link all they want
BTW, is the link supposed to end up at a WP login form?
Ahhh – now it all makes sense And, it works perfectly!!
Yes I have the Password Protect Plugin for WordPress installed while the site is still under development.
wzp you have made my day. Thanks again for all your help!!
David
Thumbs up for wzp
