encrypted digital download links?

I’m a user of the eStore plugin and I know it generates encrypted links for digital downloads, but I am not sure if the free Simple Shopping cart plugin offers this too. I have been looking around the documentation on this site, and short of setting it up in a test environment and doing a dummy transaction, I don’t really know the answer.

Could you tell me if the free Paypal Shopping cart plugin encrypts the digital download links or not?

I’m presenting information on your two shopping cart plugins to a group this week and it just occurred to me that I don’t really know the answer to this question.

The ability to sell downloadable products, using encrypted download links is a “premium feature,” available only in the eStore plugin.

Just another reason to get the eStore plugin, IMHO. It’s a fantastic product! I typically steer all my clients to buy it for their biz WordPress sites. That feature alone makes it a no-brainer.
