    Hi,

i try to create a teaser content… but I can’t get it to work. I have the checkmark for “enable more tag protection”, and I have a more tag inserted, and the page is protected.

I also try the protected section with the “emember_protected” tag [emember_protected] But the teaser content isn’t showing up.

My website also offer FeedBurner Feed but when visitor go to the feedburner they still can read the whole content. Is it possible to protect content in RSS Feed or FeedBurner?

    Thanks

Remember, The more tag protection is for blog posts. It doesn’t work on pages by default because WordPress does not allow it. You can read all about it here:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Customizing_the_Read_More#How_to_use_Read_More_in_Pages

Anyway, here is what WordPress says:

“Please remember that the “Read More” tag is used only on the Home page which shows the latest posts. It does not work in “Pages”.”

So using the eMember’s section protection might be a better solution for your case. are you using the start and end tag for the section protection explained here:

How to Protect a Section of a Post or Page (Partial Protection)

Please post a link to the page where you are using the section protection.

By default the RSS feed of any protected posts are also protected. So first make sure that the post is protected then access the RSS feed (remember to log out and clear the cache of your browser to simulate a real world non-member example)

    Hi

I already tried the ‘Section Protection for Specific Membership’ by putting this tag [emember_protected for=3] and [/emember_protected] but still the teaser content not showing. I also not to protect the ‘category’ that the post belongs to.

    here is the link

    Thanks for the reply

Looks like that post or the category of that post is already protected. Don’t protect the post if you want to use section protection.

As soon as you protect it or protect the category it belongs to it will take priority over the section protection.
