Enabled Registration Fields Not Appearing

I have enabled and made required the following fields in both registration & edit profile:

First Name

Last Name

Email

Phone

Country

Terms & Conditions

Only the following are appearing in Registration:

First Name

Last Name

Email

All are appearing in Edit Profile, but the fields are not “required” in that I can submit the edit profile form without a country.

I’m on version 7.6.8.

RESOLVED – “Free Members Must Confirm Email Address” was checked and thus I wasn’t seeing the true reg form.

HOWEVER…I’m not getting any kind of warning when I don’t submit required fields. Just returned to the same page with a “wait 10 seconds” message at the bottom. It’s not clear WHY I have to wait…
