I have estore and emember working together on my site.
I have a monthly membership in estore/emember. They pay 40 and then every 30 days are upgraded and charged and other 40 for one year. Member level auto upgrade happens as follows: M1 30days, M2 60 days, M3 90Days etc
I want to add an option where people receive 7 days trial for $1, then auto upgrade to first level and so on as with the monthly option above.
In order for paypal 30 day subscription to tally with payments I would need to set up auto upgrade member levels specific to this path wouldnt I as follows:
TRIAL 7 days, M1a 37 days, M2a 67days, M3a 97days etc.
Is this correct?
If you create a subscription product with the following details in eStore:
Trial amount: $1
Trial period: 7days
Recurring amount: $40
Recurring period: 30 days
Then the following will happen:
This will make it to when the customer makes a payment, $1 will be charged and then in 7 days time the recurring charge will kick in and he will be charged $30 and then another $30 in a months time and so one.
So to summarize…
Day 0: charge $1
Day 7: charge $40 (as the trial period is over)
Day 37: charge $40
day 67: charge $40
….
Now, you should be able to figure out how you want to setup your auto upgrade duration to match your needs.
