    Hi,

on my website I have this system in place:

I have an e-store platform (woocommerce) where customers can login to their accounts using only email and password.

On the eMember settings page I chose the option to create a WP account and automatically login to the eMember and WordPress.

However my question is: will it work?

WP login as a client works with email and password and eMember login requires username and password.

My second question is in the scenario above: can I have one login page: both for WP clients and eMember users?

Can I change the eMember login system, so that only email and passwords are required to login?

If you enable the options shown in the settings of this documentation then when a user logs into your WP user account, it will automatically log them into the corresponding eMember user account:

The question: is the other system logging the user into WP using the correct WordPress user login API? If they are then eMember’s auto login will also work.

Given the above is working then yes you can have one login page for both. No, eMember doesn’t have the option to login using email and password.

for the future readers – if I understand it correctly, now eMember does have the option to login using email and password, with an extra addon. Right?

I have free and premium memberships on my site. Login and access to free vs. premium was working fine until I did the internal upload from WP users. We brought in all of our existing free members with the idea that they could just use their email address and do a “forgot password” and log in and reset their passwords. Using the email address works and can log in but…more than half the time, once I log in as premium, it takes me to the premium login page as per the redirection set up but the Premium Content page says “this content is restricted to site members. If you are an existing user, please login. New users may register below.” Then it has an “Existing Users Log in” section with Username and Password (no place to register as it says). I have the same problem with a user ID that was set up in eMember before I did the import and also with a User ID that is new and was brought in with the import. Not sure if import messed it up but it did not do this in the beginning.

But, on the right menu bar, it shows that I am logged in as a Premium member. I have checked the debug and it shows everything a success through redirecting to the Premium page after login so I don’t know why it is doing this. Sometimes, I can log in AGAIN in that log in section on the Premium page and it will work but usually it says invalid username or password. I have tried opening an incognito browser and it does the same thing. I have tried so many things and rechecked setup of premium page and I don’t know what to do. I am seeing in my activity log that people are trying to log in and getting failed logins. Please help asap. Thanks.
