eMember form builder – validation problem with phone field

Using FormBuilder I have included the standard Phone field and set validation to NONE but validation still occurs and error message generated preventing member from saving updates if phone number does not conform (hence need to turn off the validation). I need to use the standard Phone field as I am using the Extended Profile plugin and it will only display standard fields.

You can use custom fields with the profile extended addon also. Instead of using a “Phone” type field, use a standard text field and label it “Phone Number”. That way, the plugin won’t try to validate the number. Then in the profile extended addon you can use “Phone_Number” to show this field’s value.
