I am wondering if this works with sendy.co?
Has anybody tried?
With the recent attacks on the major AR companies, I have decided to use Sendy and Amazon SES. If it doesn’t work there is an API for sendy that is easy, maybe you could add support? More and more people are using it.
Thanks.
According to their website… Sendy is a self hosted application that runs on PHP & MySQL.
Security wise, you’re not gaining anything; because now you have to worry about the security of your hosting provider, along with your site configuration. Name one commercial hosting provider that hasn’t been breached.
wzp, you are wrong, the reason for using it has nothing to do with security, and you didn’t answer the question.
sendy uses Amazon SES to send mail, aweber, getresponse, mailchimp etc have all been DDOS to death, the chances of my private mail server (which only hosts email data to SEND to to Amazon SES) being hit by a DDOS is very, very slim. Nothing is sent from your local server at all, unless you are stupid enough to use it as a local SMTP gateway, which I doubt anyone does. It is designed as a frontend to SES.
So, now if someone can answer if there is a way to get wp-emember working with sendy. I imagine from the reply, there isn’t and that is too bad if it is true. There is a complete API for sendy as well. It isn’t a fringe application, thousands of people use it.
So, you want to use Sendly as your auto-responder? There is no built in integration, other than those supported in the documentation.

However, you can request a custom work order quote, and someone will get back to you:
Does this autoresponder provider allow you to signup users just by sending an email to the list email address with the user’s email as the from address?
Lot of autoresponders offer this option so ask the support team if they have this option. If they do then you will be able to use eMember’s generic autoresponder integration.
