Tagged: login, login popup, login shortcode, popup
Hello,
There seems to be possible to use popup login window with Emember. But is it. possible to activate popup login when trying to access à password protected page and after login direct the utser to that specific page the user tried to access? How do I manage that?
When you use the popup login, it stays on the same page. You don’t need to redirect to that page afterwards.
Ok, how do I activate it? I want it to automatically popup when trying to enter à password protected page.
You check the “Enable Fancy Login Widget/Popup” option in the plugin settings to enable it. Use style 2. Then when you go to a protected page, clicking on the login link will open the login widget in a popup.
I want to create a link to login that will open in a popup so that the visitor will not leave the page they are reading.
I tried following the instructions above but it simply trashed my login page.
Could you give more complete instructions?
Enable the fancy 2 login style then you can use the compact login shortcode:

Clicking on the login link (that comes from the compact login shortcode) will open the login form in an overlay/popup window.
Thank you. Worked perfectly.
How would I change Not a member? to Not a subscriber? in the shortcode?
Hello,
Fantastic program. I love eMember!!
I am, however, having trouble with the ‘login’ button using the instructions on this post: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/emember-use-popup-login-and-redirect-to-page
I updated the settings to “Enable Fancy Login Popup” style #2 and am using the appropriate shortcode and then I tried doing the straight php version: <?php echo eMember_compact_login_widget(); ?>
Both methods show the sentence, but the word ‘Login’ when clicked doesn’t do anything. It says javascript: void when I hover, but the button doesn’t do anything.
Thanks
Dan
