eMember – upgraded from version 7 to 8 and now page is not protected

I have browsed these forums and tried everything at https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/wp-emember-content-protection-not-working-common-mistakes. I just upgraded from version 7 something to 8.3.2. My page now shows up for anyone:

despite having these options set:

Do you want to protect this content?

[x] Yes, Protect this content.

Select the membership level that can access this content:

[x] Radio Listener

I have tried clearing Quick Cache, loading from a remote computer, removing then adding back protection, all to no avail. What’s going on? We just announced an update to this page and can’t be giving everyone access! Thanks.

Hmm well after changing the permalink, refreshing, then changing the permalink back, it appears it’s protecting again.
