Tagged: member level update
Hi,
Thank you for your help regarding our latest issue. We have now eMember v6.6.8 installed.
We now have a new issue that we are trying to find a solution for and was hoping you could help us out.
If a member decide to upgrade their membership, the upgrade process itself is going without any problem. The member is taken to the payment processor and after payment they are redirected back to our “Thank You” page. The email about their account being upgraded is also send out right away as it should. But here start our issue:
When the member get to the “Thank You” page they should be able to go to their new membership level but they are denied access, “content is restricted”. They are still registered as the “old” membership level. So the member try then to log out from their account to log back in for the correct level. The Membership Level has still not been updated correctly.
I have tried to clear all cookies and cache from the browser and then logging in again, but still that newly upgraded member are on the same “OLD” membership level.
We have added the cookies:
ap_id
cart_in_use
e_m_bazooka
eMember_in_use
To the Reject Cookies under “Page Cache” in W3TC.
We have also installed and use Opcode as Page Cache as we have seen you have recommended this in other posts here in the forum.
Only way I have found out that will allow the newly upgraded member to log into the correct Membership level is to “empty cache” from the W3TC manually
Have you heard of anyone else having this problem when using W3TC with eMember? You have any suggestions as to how we can get this issue fixed?
Any help regarding this is very appreciated
Best Regards
Monica
After the upgrade can you please open the member’s profile and look at his membership level area to see if his membership level is set to the newly paid membership level.
Are you using the “Secondary Membership” feature?
