I want to offer members signing up for my free access level a 14-day trial of one of my higher membership levels. Auto-upgrade seems easy enough, but I find noway to auto-downgrade them at the end of the 14 days. (Of course, I’d want to email them a reminder and hopefully upsell them to the higher level.)

If this is possible, how might I go about this?

You could put an expiry interval of 14 days on the “higher” membership level in the settings for the applicable membership.

Then in the “Auto Upgrade” configuration you can configure your membership such that the member will auto-(down)grade to the free or lower level after 14 days.

When the higher membership level expires, they will receive an expiry email from eMember. You can quite easily put some copy in the body of that email to entice them to buy whatever membership you are trying to upsell and include a link to a page containing the “buy now” button for the membership purchase.

Hi, “Auto Upgrade” always doesn’t have to be for higher membership level. It could be upgrade/downgrade as well. It basically allows you to change the membership level of a user from one level to another in an automated fashion.

Suppose, you have two membership levels Test1 and Test2 and you set it so members of Test1 will automatically be upgraded to Test2 after 14 days. Now the plugin doesn’t really care if Test2 is a higher/lower membership level (where you are offering more/less content). All it needs to know is that the members of Test1 will be automatically migrated to Test2 after 14 days.
