I am using eMember to create three-four membership levels. Prior to purchase I asked if I can set up the monthly fee plus a one time set up fee. For instance, monthly member will be 59.99 plus 199.00 set up fee. The 59.99 will be reoccurring billing, but the 199.00 will be a one time charge. How is this accomplished? my site is members.ebplum.com

I believe the following is what you are looking for.

No that is not what I am asking for. On my monthly level, I want to charge each month $79.99. On the first month only I also want to charge a set up fee of $199.99. How is that accomplished as again I asked before I purchased this I was told this is possible.

Also, I am trying to set up the memberships. On page members.ebplum.com/memberships I set up a test for $0.01 just to ensure the flow was correct. I did make the payment, and I was sent an email from the site, but when I click on the link in the email to take me to registration page it is locked. At that point the registration page should be unlocked.

    Site address members.ebplum.com

    User Name shimski

    Password mepe4189

    Please advise.

I like the plugin once I am now familiar with it. But I am still having difficulty. Can you look at one other issue. I believe I am having a conflict with my listings pages. I am using a premimum plugin from Elegant Themes. On page members.ebplum.com/listings as you can see the pages are locked, but the pic and vital info is still there. What can I do to change this.

    Thanks for your help.

In the trial amount you put $279.98 (Setup + first month)

In the monthly recurring amount you put $79.99 (This will be billed each month after the trial time has expired).

In the trial time amount you put 30 day.

After the 30 days $79.99 will be charged each month.

In the membership level make sure you have the “Subscription Duration” set to “No Expiry or Until Cancelled “

Also, it looks like you protected your membership registration page. You should keep the member registration page unprotected. Please make sure you have watched the videos here for setting up the eMember plugin:

I have a similar setup…but with a twist. Prior to purchase, I asked about using coupon codes with a membership subscription.

    Here is our membership:

    $34.99/month

    $100 one time setup

I have it setup with the first month trial of $134.99 and then each subsequent month is just $34.99.

    So far, so good.

The tricky part I can’t figure out is that the customer needs to be able to put in a $10 coupon code (which can be tracked to an affiliate) that will reduce the membership from $34.99/month to $24.99/month. How do I set this up? If I setup the subscribe button…it just goes straight to PayPal without a chance to enter the code. If I setup the Add To Cart button…they can put in the coupon code…but it just charges them one time (no subscription) and doesn’t charge the setup fee.

Help please! There should be some way to do this, but I can’t figure it out.

    Hi,

You can’t use coupons for subscription buttons due to the fact that a different API is used by PayPal to process subscription payments as opposed to payments made using an add-to-cart button.

Please see this post for an explanation:

@KraftyOne, I couldn’t find eStore purchase from you. I have sent you an email to verify your eStore product purchase. Please respond to my email.
