Hi I want to get more members, to do that I want to know the following.
Is it possible to have a unique code or something added to a post. So people that have that post with unique code added to it can see the post without login. Normally, without the unique code, the post is protected.
I want to use this so people can see more content without becoming a member.
I hope my question is clear. or maybe there is a other way to accomplish this?
Robert
Perhaps the Google “First Click Free” integration option, is what you are interested in:
Yes but the problem about that one is the Social Media, when like a page on this way. They can’t get back to it by URL, because then it is protected.
Is there no other way?
No, you can’t do what you explained because that will add a hole in the plugin that people can exploit to get access to protected content without ever becoming a member.
Ok thanks, that’s clear.
So the only thing that looks like it is the “First Click Free”.
That gives me more exposure but no Social Media.
You can also selectively choose to protect or unprotect a specific post; just unprotect those specific posts that you want to share. Then someplace on that page, use some code to detect that they are not logged in and then display the appropriate “like what you see, join us” ads.
