I’ve read and tried the information in the link below and also the PDF-document referred to.
The emails are not received, I think the problem is that the sending email adress is not corresponding with de domain name. I have filled in all the emails correctly with the domain name in it to the Email Settings, buth when I test according to the PDF’s, I see that there is another sending email adress than I have filled in. I can’t find where I can change this.
I can’t find the base where the email adress is extracted from that is used for sending the emails right now. I have used this adress in the very beginning, but all the email adresses that I can find in WP eMember are now correctly filled in.
Does anyone has an advise?
September 16, 2020 at 9:49 pm #80956wzpModerator- Please turn on the debug logs. Then, try sending an email using the Admin function and then redoing your previous tests. Then check the debug logs. Do they show the email being successfully sent?
- Also, what is the email address you are trying to use and the one that you are see being used?
- Are you using the SMTP mailer that came with your hosting package, or are you doing “something else?” Do any of the 2 addresses match the domain of your site?

1. I’ve tested yesterday with de testplugin and these emails arrived (with the wrong sender). Now I see in the debug logs that with the other attempts most of them have been a SUCCES. So I assume the emails are sent, but never arrived. I think they were blocked by the server.
When I try to send an email from the Admin function to ‘Generate and Email the Registration Completion link’ then I don’t get a link there. The link appears to the field above: ‘Generate a Registration Completion link’. So an email can’t be made.
2. In the fields I’ve filled in: julia@lentemorgenacademie.nl. That is the email that is correct to be used. What I’ve been seen used is the email adress: info@alvastgoedvasupport.nl. This email is from myself and I’ve used it in the beginning because I wouldn’t bother my client with tests.
3. The e-mail address that’s good is from the hosting package. The domain where the academy is built on is lentemorgenacademie.nl. So the correct adress julia@lentemorgenacademie.nl matches with this.
So the problem is that although I’ve filled in a correct email adress in the fields, the emails are being sent with another email adress. And I can’t find that wrong email adress in the Settings form WP eMember. I do use this email adress in my WordPress account as an administrator. Can WP eMember pick it up from there?

Did you by chance, submit THAT email address to the hosting provider, when the hosting package was selected? They could have “baked” the address into the hosting configuration.
You might also try searching the MySQL database to see if that address is “lurking around” someplace.
You could try using this plugin:
- Please turn on the debug logs. Then, try sending an email using the Admin function and then redoing your previous tests. Then check the debug logs. Do they show the email being successfully sent?
