Is it possible to restrict a new member while registering to use the same username and password? If not, are you planning of implementing such a feature?

A user is supposed to be able to enter a username and password when they are registering. So this is not a normal functionality of a membership system. We will monitor how many users ask for this then work on something if necessary.

Just to be sure you understand what I asked. Of course a user is supposed to be able to enter a username and a password in the process of registration. The question was about restricting the user to have identical username and password. Example: the user enters the usernanme ADMIN and then if he enters the password also ADMIN, the system displays a note saying that the username and the password can not be identical.

oh I understand what you are saying now. At the moment it requires a minimum of 6 characters. Another way to handle it would be to have an option that can be enabled which forces the user to use a stronger password. I will look at that.

Yes, an option which forces the user to use at least a password that is not identical to his username. That would be already much “stronger” than to have identical username and password.
