We’re using eMember for membership and content protection with the woocommerce plugin. The membership levels are based on length of membership (like an old fashioned magazine subscription). The plugin and eMember are working together well for the initial purchase. The membership is created correctly in eMember and payment is accepted correctly through Woocommerce. All related notification emails are being sent correctly.
The problem:
After the membership expires how do we use a woocommerce product to sell the renewal? If I set the WP eMember Membership level then a new membership account is created instead of renewing the existing membership even if the member is logged in.
Also, when checking out WooCommerce isn’t recognizing the eMember account.
When a logged in and expired user pays for a membership, it will renew the account. Let me take a look at your setup (the issue is somewhere in the setup most likely).
Which option are you using from the following page?

Do you have the debug option enabled in emember? If not, please enable it. Do a test transaction using an expired account, does it complain about something? The renewal woocommerce product has a membership level attached to it right?
The problem turned out to be in the testing parameters. Thanks for the help. I forgot we had turned off the debug tool. It looks like the renewals should work just fine.
