eMember – renewal creating new members instead of renewing old members

I renewed my membership on my own website, and for whatever the reason the system created a new user for me instead of renewing me.

A) Why might this have happened?

How can I merge the new paid account with the old expired account – I’d like to keep my original account.

The website is [http://ynpnatlanta.org], and I am using version 8.5.6 of the plugin. Thanks!

Hi, how are you renewing the membership? is it for a paid membership? were you logged in when you renewed the membership?
