Hi,
I’ve just purchased eMember and am currently in the process of setting it up – when doing a test transaction using my PayPal account the email that I receive after purchasing the membership doesn’t have the complete registration link. The email that gets sent is the following:
—
Dear xxx
Thank you for joining us!
Please complete your registration by visiting the following link:
?member_id=1&code=4a47d2983c8bd392b120b627e0e1cab4
Thank You
—
“?member_id=1&code=4a47d2983c8bd392b120b627e0e1cab4” doesn’t seem to be the full link so I can’t complete the registration. I’ve searched around on the forums and see that someone else had the same problems a few months ago – although I think you sent a solution directly to that person.
Please can you let me know what I need to do?
Thanks.

These set of video tutorial should help you with the setup of eMember plugin on your site:
Remember, all the documentation for the membership plugin can be found here:

May 14, 2010 at 6:33 pm #19487nicoolasMemberHello everybody !
Hi Amin, How are you? Hope fine.
Okay. I have a little problem with the new version of eMember plugin.
I made the update to 5.2.3. Now, impossible to my prospects to subscribe.
The registration is fine but they didn’t received confirmation email and impossible to us to login : “Password or username is wrong”.
Do you have a idea of this issue ??
Many thanks,
nicolas

Please note that if you are updating the eMember plugin from a version older than 5.1.2 then the settings menu will need to be configured again as it will reset (there has been some internal structure updates to this plugin so we could add a new feature). This causes the settings to reset. Please remember to take note of your settings before you update the plugin.
Can you please confirm that the “Pages Settings” and “Email Settings” have correct values? Did you try resetting the password using the forgot password option?
May 15, 2010 at 8:11 am #19489nicoolasMemberHi,
My old version as 4.2.9 and I made the upgrade step-by-step like you told me (I’ve received the note) and The “Pages Settings” and “Email Settings” have correct values.
Too many html error on my theme WP to change and using properly the forgot password option but when I change the theme, it’s working very well. I can’t change it fo the moment but it would be soon.

May 16, 2010 at 1:59 pm #19490nicoolasMemberOkay. I got it !!
Problem of registration :
I’ve insert a redirection url after ‘Register’ action.
<form action=”../oto.php” method=”post” name=”regoForm” id=”regoForm” >
the redirection was good but the member wasn’t register into the database like free member. Totally unknow…..
I delete this redirection and it’s work fine.
So is it possible to create a redirection after the ‘register’ action ?
BUT impossible to “Automatically Create Affiliate Account”. I’ve got a fatal error on line 819 on the “eMember_misc_functions” file.
I’m using estore, affiliates (V2.5) and emember plugins (V5.2.3). Maybe it’s conflict between new emember version and old affiliates version ????
wish you all the best.

You shouldn’t have to modify any code to get the “Automatic Redirection after login” going. If you have set this option in the settings then this will happen for your automatically. If you do want to set redirection then please make sure that you are placing your redirection code after all the processing from the “submit” is done. If you place the redirection in the middle then it won’t be able to complete the work.
May 17, 2010 at 9:25 am #19492nicoolasMemberHi,
yeah, I know about the redirection. everything is customisable trought the settings but not for the register page.
I would to show to te new free member an OTO. It’s not very critical but it’s could be great.
I change my way and I make this redirection after the login page (for free member level). Like this, they view the offer each time.

May 17, 2011 at 11:19 pm #19494wpCommerceModeratorWhat URL are you using in the “Registration Page” field of the “page/form settings”?
What URL the registration link takes you to?
