Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP eMember › eMember – Registration fields too faint to read
I just tested the email confirmation approach to registration using the shortcode
It works fine functionally but the signup text is almost impossible to read, being a very very faint grey color. This creates the impression that the fields are disabled.
Any suggestions as to what is causing this and how I can fix it?
Thanks very much
Derek
It may be your theme is overriding the CSS. Please post a link to your site, with instructions to reproduce the issue; so we can make suggestions.

The registration fields on the home page will show you what I mean.
Looks like some HTML code got copied with the shortcode (so it is wrapping around the shortcode and messing up the rendering).
1) Edit that page.
2) Go to the “Text” mode of the editor (so you can see everything).
3) Remove any unwanted HTML code from around the shortcode.
4) Save the page.
Thank you – well spotted! Turns out that when I put shortcode directly into View mode rather than Text mode, although the functionality still works, the system wraps formatting tags around it.
Cheers
Derek
