I have installed the captcha plugin, and in the registration page i received the following message:
“Fatal error: Call to undefined function imagettftext() in /home/cumplirl/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/emember-captcha/libs/really-simple-captcha.php on line 102”
Can you help?
Thanks
October 26, 2012 at 11:02 pm #50762PeterMemberHi, You have used the wrong thread – you should be asking this in the eMember section. I will move this tread now.
Anyway, when you say “I have installed the captcha plugin”, which plugin exactly are you talking about? Is it this one:
Which version of eMember have you got?
October 27, 2012 at 9:39 am #50763formulalopdMemberSorry for the bad placement.
The plugin i have installed is: WP eMember Captcha. I think it is the same that you mentioned.
I have dowloaded it from this page:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/download-addons.php
The version is: WP eMembers – Dashboard v8.2.5

November 1, 2012 at 3:49 am #50766adminKeymasterOkay that looks correct. There are only two other possibilities for this error:
1) A file didn’t get uploaded when you installed this addon. Delete the currently installed version and then download a new copy and upload it via the WordPress plugin uploader interface.
2) Do the plugin conflict test to see if this addon is conflicting on another plugin:

November 3, 2012 at 5:57 pm #50767formulalopdMember-I have installed again the plugin
-I have changed the theme to the default ( My theme is Optimizepress)
-I do not have installed any of the plugins of the list.
The bad news is that the problem continues…
November 3, 2012 at 7:32 pm #50768nurMemberLooks like PHP version installed on your server is not properly configured. Captcha plugin depends on some core php features like GD, FreeType. In PHP distribution available these days, has these features enabled by default. PHP version you are using is either older or was compiled/built without these features enabled. you may ask your hosting service provider to upgrade PHP version or enable GD and FreeType features during installation. Otherwise you won’t be able to use the captcha addon. Use eMember’s reCAPTCHA feature alternatively.
