eMember – Prevent users from purchasing same item twice

I’m running a membership site with eMember and eStore and everything is setup, but I want to make sure that if a member buys a membership level he won’t be able to buy it again while his subscription is still active.

It’s just to prevent our users from buying the same membership level twice (we’re not dealing with the brightest people here), as well as some membership levels include other membership levels so we don’t want someone paying more than they have to.

I haven’t seen a setting that I can change anywhere so I’m assuming I will have to make some modifications to the code. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The section protection feature of eMember will help. You can hide the membership level purchase buttons from users who already belong in that membership level (this way they can’t interact with that button).
