Tagged: paypal button, unsubscribe invalid
Hi,
I am having issues with the unsubscribe button. I created a new account, signed up for a monthly subscription. All of this is fine. When I go into my paypal account it shows the recurring payment as active.
The problem is when I then try to unsubscribe using the [wp_eMember_cancel_subscription_link] shortcode button. I get redirected to paypal, but I get a message saying “The unsubscribe button you clicked through is invalid”. One possibly important thing of note is that the email address used to register on the site is different than the paypal email address used to make the payment.
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, if the user is logged in the cancellation should still go through even if the email address is different from the primary one. This issue will only occur if the user is not logged in and the email addresses are different. In that case the plugin doesn’t know which membership needs to be cancelled. To avoid this issue please do the following:
1) Create a page with the subscription cancel button.
2) Set General protection to this page and make sure that only logged in members can view it.
Let me know how it goes.
