Tagged: PayPal sandbox
We have created one paypal button for membership purchase. How can we enable sandox mode?
Can I please possibly talk you into NOT wanting to use paypal “sandbox mode?” Our official position is that paypal Sandbox mode is only used to demonstrate the plugin is able to successfully handle IPN handshaking between the plugin and PayPal; during plugin development. And that outside the development environment, it is more trouble than it is worth, to properly instruct the average person on how to correctly setup sandbox mode. Believe me, “we’ve tried…”

It would be FAR more easier, faster, and less painful, to just setup a PayPal “test” button that uses a very low value membership fee.
The eMember plugin is the cumulation of over 12+ years of development work, by the same team; and has thousands of users, worldwide. Unless you are under a government contract to do so; there is no real justifiable reason to torture yourself with trying to make sandbox mode work.
Ok so do you mean that it will work for sure?
There is no reason for it not to work. The only thing that will prevent it from working is your setup. So once you set it up in live mode and do a test then it you will just need to change the price to the correct amount. The rest stays as is.
