Tagged: multisite management
I have eMember set up on a multisite installation. I really don’t want to give individual site admins superadmin status in order for them to use eMember. But I can’t find a way to make the management panels available to site admins. Is this possible?
I found code that lets admin edit other users, but that didn’t solve the issue. See [http://thereforei.am/2011/03/15/how-to-allow-administrators-to-edit-users-in-a-wordpress-network/]
Don’t follow any other tutorial. You don’t need to do any tweaks. By default when you keep the eMember plugin in your Multi-site WordPress install, the admin of each site will be able to activate it. Then the standard eMember admin dashboard menu will show up in that site.
Are you going down the path of activating the plugin on a site by site basis or are you going to use the network activation option?
Found the answer. Not an eMember issue at all. On the network settings page there’s an option “Enable administration menus” and the only checkbox is for plugins. Never noticed that before. As soon as I checked it, the problem was solved.
