Tagged: address fields, wordpress registration
I have set eMember to register new members in wordpress and log them in. This works fine but only name and email fields are created in wordpress. The address fields which are filled in during eMember registration are not copied across. This is causing me to ask members for these details twice!
Hi,
Did you make the other fields “required” or mandatory? If not then your members do not have to put an entry in them.
You can specify whether a field is required by checking the appropriate box in the Settings->Pages/Forms Settings page in eMember.
WordPress’s default user database does not have any field for address information which is why eMember doesn’t copy those details there. If you edit a WordPress’s user profile you will see it only has the following fields:
Username
Role
First Name
Last Name
E-mail (required)
