How can I remove the character limit on the username field. Actually the limit is set to 32 characters, but i cannot find the registration validator file…
This one is limited in the database (not the validator). We couldn’t see why a username would be longer than 32 characters so we set that limit. Can you please explain what you are trying to do so I can understand why you need it?
I am using the username field for email, and sometimes, the email is longer than 32 characters. So if i change the varchar value and I set it to 100, i will be fine ?
Yes if you change that in your database table you will be fine. There is no harm in that as long as you know how to change the limit in your MySQL database table. You can do it easily via PHPMyAdmin (if you are familiar with that).
