I’ve updated to the latest version of eMember on my website and now getting msie and overlay error message on the site.
Please provide a LIVE URL link and instructions on how to reproduce the issue.
Usually happens if there is a JavaScript error on the site (coming from another plugin conflict).
If you share a link to your site, I will be able to inspect it and see if there is any JS error.
That’s not the case. I’ve turned off all plugins and left only WP eMember running and it produced the same JS errors in console. Here is the link. aagt.org/join-us/
@jaytillery — Besides visiting that URL, do I have to do anything else, to see the errors? Using Internet Explorer 11.228.1734..0 and see no obvious errors.
In IE and other major browsers in developers tools I get the following errors:
SCRIPT5007: SCRIPT5007: Unable to get property ‘msie’ of undefined or null reference
jquery.tools18.min.js (279,5)
SCRIPT438: SCRIPT438: Object doesn’t support property or method ‘overlay’
join-us (160,13)
It only happens if WP eMembers is active. Even on all plugins off. You should be able to reproduce these errors easily.
There is definitely some JavaScript conflict happening on this site. Lets try the following first.
Please do the following so the password reset functionality uses a page instead of an overlary. That should remove that conflict:
