Hello,
I’ve just purchased eMember and I’m searching my way through it all.
I’m creating all my membership plans as a product in Woocommerce. I would like to use Woocommerce and eMember registration scenario 1.
What confuses me is the following: “You will turn off all the WooCommerce account creation options from the “Accounts” settings of WooCommerce.”
You should know other products will also be sold in the shop (nothing to do with eMember). Could the above cause a conflict with these products – in other words will I still be able to sell them if I turn off all the vreation options?
I made a copy from the Accounts Woocommerce Settings for you to see if necessary:
Account pages
“These pages need to be set so that WooCommerce knows where to send users to access account related functionality.
My account page
SHOP
Customer registration Customer registration
Enable customer registration on the “Checkout” page.
Enable customer registration on the “My account” page.
Login Display returning customer log-in reminder on the “Checkout” page.
Account creation
Account creation Automatically generate username from customer email.
Automatically generate customer password”
I’m sorry but I’m not a developer.
Thank you in advance for your help
Yours sincerely,

WooCommerce supports “Amazon like” customer accounts. This mechanism conflicts with eMember, and is actually a subset of eMember’s capabilities. If you don’t turn off these WooCommerce settings; the membership account creation/registration process may not be smooth.

Thank you so much for your swift reply!
‘creation’ options is indeed a typing error. I apologize for the inconvenience.
If a conflict with Woocommerce is indeed possible, I cannot use WP eMember. My website works with Woocommerce. And I need to be able to sell the other products as well. How can I solve this?
It would be a real pity not being able to use my purchased eMember.
Thank you in advance for your help

There is NO conflict between eMember and Woocommerce, as far as selling products. The instruction telling you to disable certain Woocommerce settings is meant to facilitate proper integration. If this proper integration step is not performed, then conflicts may arise.
Thousands of sites, around the world, use eMember and Woocommerce; without issue.
April 11, 2017 at 11:37 pm #75476adminKeymasterPlease make sure to FULLY read the following documentation:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/woocommerce-wp-emember-integration-1013
It explains 2 types of setup options. Pick the one that suits your setup. For you, the 2nd scenario should be better.
eMember doesn’t interfere with your store products.

Thank you very much for your advice, and telling me which option to use. The second scenario it is.
It is sometimes difficult to understand what is written if you have no IT background…
Thank you for your understanding
Best regards,
