Hello,
I creating a eduction website for me. Where I have 3 levels. Each level has a term of duration.
When I tried to buy level 3 (for a duration of 12 month) the eStore send me to paypal, where I could pay, so that was perfect. After that it brought me back to the registration page (what it supposed to do). But when I completed the registration I got a free level instead of level 3. Do you have a solution for that?
October 8, 2012 at 10:39 pm #50159PeterMemberHi,
I can see you are using eStore together with eMember.
Did you specify the correct level ID in the “Reference Text” field of the eStore product configuration?
Please see the documentation here:

A few hours later I’ve got an email from my website that my account was upgraded (automatically). So it worked (gonna test it again). But shouldn’t it be immediately be upgraded?

It creates a level 3, but also a free level.
So what happens.
The costumer comes back from paypal, fills in the registration form (but with membership there is already filled in Free level)
Costumer registers, logs in and see it has a free level instead of level 3 that was paid for.
When I login, I see two accounts on the same email adress. One for the free level (with the username the costumer chose) and a extra account without a username with the paid level 3. I just want only one account be created not the free one if they paid for a other level then free.
Any solutions?
October 10, 2012 at 1:09 am #50162adminKeymasterYou haven’t read all of our documentation yet. The customer has to click the unique registration link sent to his/email address after the payment. Paid membership registration can only be done after the unique registration link is followed from the email after the payment. This post has more details:
You haven’t looked at our video tutorials so you seem to have a bit of confusion with the registration flow. Make sure to fully watch video number 2, 3, 4 and 5 from the following page:
Also, read this documentation too:

If you are testing… then make sure the test email address that you are using to make the payment doesn’t already have an user account in the system. Otherwise it will simply upgrade that existing account rather than creating a new one. So if you want to test a new membership signup, delete the user account with that email address first then test a membership purchase.
October 14, 2012 at 3:51 pm #50163mindofmediaMemberHello,
The system never sends an email to complete the registration. Maybe because we also work with wp-estore? Should we disable that? Because we only want the memberships. Nothing else of products.
October 15, 2012 at 1:58 am #50164adminKeymasterOkay good! Now we are making progress. You don’t need to disable eStore. The email is not getting sent out because:
a) The eStore integration for membership payment hasn’t been done correctly
or
b) There is a little issue with your PayPal account setup
or
c) The email getting blocked by the server
We will be able to figure out what it is in the next step.
First, make sure you have watched this video and setup your eStore payment button correctly so it integrates with eMember:
Then enable debug in eStore and do a test membership purchase. This post will explain how to enable debug:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/how-and-when-to-enable-debug-and-what-does-it-do
Share the content of the debug file here so I can check it.
