Tagged: member level update
Hi there,
I have multiple free subscriptions which I use for events to know which subscribers would like to participate in which events.
Example: the person joins the website with a regular free membership and can go to an event page for the 20th April, 25th April etc. click a button to subscribe to that membership level (event) and receive an email with details about the event. After the event the subscription level for that event expire and the person can go and join another event with the click of a button.
I’ve embed the member level button for an event and once a member clicks on it the normal text “Membership level has been updated” is displayed which is fine, but once they refresh the page or later return to the event post the button to “join the event” is there again, regardless of it already been pressed by the member and having successfully updated his membership earlier.
I would like the text “Membership level has been updated” to keep being displayed to the member who already joined this membership level instead of seeing the button to join every time he returns to the post. How can this be achieved?
Many thanks
Danie
Showing that upgrade button is usually not an issue because the button will upgrade the level to the specified level only.
You can hide the button by wrapping it with the section protection shortcode. Protect the level upgrade button for the level that it is for. So when a member is from that level, it will be hidden for him. Also, use the do not show protected message parameter to hide any message from being shown. Read the following documentation to learn how it works:

Thanks for the quick reply, I haven’t thought about hiding the button, that will work great.
