Hi, I have a new problem that just cropped up on a client site. Everything had been working fine. However, now not fine.
When you add a new member manually, the member is not given access to the proper membership level. When you login, you get the “you do not have permission to access this content.”
I downloaded and installed a fresh copy of eMember (v 8.7). Same result.
I turned on the debugger. I’ll post the file below.
This problem cropped up without any changes to the site. No updates. Nothing.
I hope you can help find the problem.
So far, this is the only client who has experienced this problem, although I have many using your plugins. Could be a hosting issue.. or a plugin conflict. Again, hoping you have a solution.
August 1, 2013 at 1:25 am #56895adminKeymasterThe following post is a good checklist to go through when you have content protection issue:
Can you please edit the membership level in question and make sure you have the “Global Access to” fields checked/enabled?
Also, from the debug it looks like you are using the WP User integration features. Did you enable all the fields from the WP User integration settings or just some?

Thanks for the awesome support, as always.
November 14, 2013 at 6:23 am #56897Troy MediaSpectatorI created a new member manually, including password, and received the email to complete the registration. However, when I went to sign in to complete my registration it said wrong username or password.
I wanted to be able to create member accounts for some of my clients, rather than have them go through the process, and then just send them their username and password. Is this possible/
November 14, 2013 at 10:14 pm #56898adminKeymasterYes, you (the admin) can create member accounts from the admin dashboard and the member can just login dirctly after that. They don’t have to go through the process when you create the account manually from the emember admin side.
So go to admin dashboard of eMember and click the Add/Edit member link. Now fill in the details to create a member account.
