I would like to be able to manually put in a unique subscription ID for the members I have imported in from WP. However, when I choose to edit a member and manually insert the unique ID into the field and save it, the unique ID does not get saved. The field returns to blank.
September 3, 2012 at 10:58 pm #48909PeterMemberHi,
I don’t think you can modify this field value using the members form.
Let’s wait for Admin to confirm this.
September 4, 2012 at 7:18 am #48910adminKeymasterThe “Unique Reference/Subscriber ID” is a system generated ID. We don’t allow users to edit it from the dashboard because that can allow someone to mistakenly change this value which can mess up a few things. If you manually imported this data then you shouldn’t need to populate that field. Can you please explain why you want to populate that field on manually imported users?
January 1, 2014 at 7:47 pm #48911tmillerMemberI am having the same issue. My customers are paying on paypal, my estore is not processing anything from paypal, or sending out automated emails, so I am forced to input everything manually, starting from scratch for each new customer. It will not let me save the unique ID. The real issue is that my estore is not recognizing new sales, but in the mean time, I need to input new paying customers so they can access the site after paying. I have tried MANY things to try to figure this out. Help please!
January 1, 2014 at 11:11 pm #48912adminKeymasterEnable debug then run a test transaction and everything will become clear as to what is going wrong on your site.
The following two posts will help you:

What to do if the Debug file is empty or New Debug info is not getting added
Let me know if you get stuck somewhere
January 2, 2014 at 2:31 am #48913tmillerMemberThank you for your response. I have tried everything (except paypal sandbox) on your links provided. I generated a sale with debug enabled. I am not getting any data on the subscription and estore debug, only the ipn handle debug, which is showing success. I have contacted hostgator, my web host, many times and they have assured me multiple times that they are not blocking paypal IPN’s. IPN’s are enabled in paypal. Not sure where to go from here.
January 2, 2014 at 3:42 am #48914adminKeymasterHave you checked, checklist number 5.b from the link I shared with you earlier?

January 17, 2014 at 11:42 pm #48915wpCommerceModerator@tmiller, It turned out that PayPal blacklisted your IP. So eStore couldn’t verify IPN with the PayPal server. Contacting PayPal solved this issue.
March 21, 2015 at 11:47 am #48916jharriesMemberGood Morning,
I’m having the same problem. I need to edit the Unique Reference/Subscriber ID. WPEM shows the field as editable, but it does not update when I click on Save Member Info.
I get that you don’t allow this field to be edited, but why does it appear to be?
The reason I need to edit it is that a member shared his logon with another person who then joined. The result is that the Unique Reference/Subscriber ID of the new member has taken over the member record in WPEM for the first member. In other words, it got treated as a renewal, not a new member.
Please advise.
March 21, 2015 at 11:22 pm #48917adminKeymasterWe have made a change to the plugin so the subscriber ID field can now be editing from the admin side. I have sent you an update for it via email.
April 4, 2015 at 10:33 pm #48918videos2worshipSpectatorAdmin, Will you please email me a copy of the eMember plugin with the change so that I can edit the ID field from the admin side? Thank you!
