I have put the manual approval on. I have tested it and I have several problems. The pending member receive an email saying that they need to complete their registration. But actually they need an email saying they are pending and they will receive an email when the backend user have checked their information and put them into active state. ANd then when the backend user put the member from pending to active an email should go out with the information for the new member. I miss similar emails to the backend user.
Member signing up – pending state (both email to front and bakend user)
Going from pending to active (both email to front and bakend user)
Is this possible?

October 6, 2016 at 1:11 am #74317adminKeymasterThe following documentation for the manual approval feature explains what our plugin does:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/manually-approve-members-on-your-site-1302
When you enable the manual approval option, the “Registration Complete” email becomes the pending email. The “Registration Complete” email basically gets sent whenever someone has submitted the registration form. You can put your message about the pending account in there.
Later you (the site admin) do the following:
1) Go to the members menu in the admin dashboard.
2) Edit the member’s record in question.
3) Review the profile and set the status to “active” (if you want to approve it).
4) At the same time, you enable the “Send a Notification to the User” option and specify whatever you want to send to the member after the account has been approved.
5) Save the member’s profile.
October 26, 2016 at 7:29 am #74318CASMemberThanks – now I get how to send an email when going from pending > active
When the user registre (only as pending) they receive an email – but I cant figure out where it is. It is not the the “Registration Complete” under Settings > Email settings?

October 26, 2016 at 7:34 am #74319CASMemberI use the form builder addon – dont know if that affects it.

Send a Notification to the User
When you check that checkbox and save the user’s profile, the user gets a notification email whit whatever message you specify in there.
October 28, 2016 at 6:44 am #74321CASMemberI know that function and we will use it when we go from pending to active status but I need a mail when the user apply for membership – an email saying thank you for your application for membership sent automatically. The user will be pending until a backend user set the user to active.
October 28, 2016 at 11:35 pm #74322adminKeymasterYou haven’t fully read the following documentation as I pointed it out before:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/manually-approve-members-on-your-site-1302
Please read the section labelled “Email Notification” from the above mentioned documentation.
November 9, 2016 at 10:19 am #74323CASMemberI am using the form builder addon. I just found out it was placed under Form Builder Addon > Notification.
