eMember – mailchimp sign up

Hi, I want to sign up all eMember registrations to mailchimp but not use the mailchimp autoresponder, eMember auto responses are fine. Tried integration but does not appear to work which if it is trying to use mailchimp autoresponders is reasonable as it is paid service and I have free account.

I notice eStore settings has checkbox to select ‘Global MailChimp Integration’ only but this feature does not appear available in eMember, which would mean I miss free members if I use eStore to register.

Any advice?

Hi,

I’m not sure I understand your problem.

The mailchimp integration in eMember can be either performed globally or per membership level.

If you specify your mailchimp list in the eMember Settings->Autoresponder Settings but not in the individual membership levels, then this will be applied globally to all of your membership levels.

You can override the global list name by specifying another list name in a specific Membership Level by editing that level and setting the name in the “Autoresponder List/Campaign Name” field.

Regarding the opt-in email sent by mailchimp:

If you do not want an “opt-in” email sent by mailchimp, simply check the “Disable Double Opt-In” check box.

Hi,

I’ve got a little confused by the slightly different set up for mailchimp between eStore and eMember. Also a little impatient! I thought eMember registrations were not appearing in mailchimp but turned out to be there when I checked later, obviously takes a litle time to reflect on screen and I should have been more patient.
