eMember – Login Token via URL or Cookie

Hello there,

I searched the forum but my terms brought up no information that is useful to me.

We have a newsletter system in place that sends out links to posts that are protected by wp eMember.

Now we need an option to log the users in via an URL. We have dummy users in place but no idea how to log them into wp eMember via a URL that is clickable in the newsletter.

That would be a security issue if you could do that. Are you aware of the security issue side of things?

Our membership plugin stores the password in an encrypted form. Even the plugin doesn’t know the password (this is the best practice for storing passwords). Only the users know their passwords so they have to enter it in the login widget to log into the site.

I am aware of the security side of things, unfortunately the customer insists on this.
