We already had Woocommerce set up and decided to start selling protected content – we bought the eMember plugin and installed the plugin that integrates with Woocommerce but something is missing.
We tested the eMember plugin after installing the Woocommerce integration plugin with our Woocommerce store product (without using a sandbox).
We bought the product and created an account while buying the product. We received three emails – 2 receipts and one that prompts the subscriber to log in through a link to the protected content but it only gives their login, not their password.
So, we tried to enter the login and password we had set up on checkout and it doesn’t work and the system even says that no such email is a member.
We figured the account creation was not for the eMember plugin. How does a user buy the product through Woocommerce store then get access to the protected content? Is there a separate email sent? There was not much in the instructions on the integration page here besides putting in the membership level on the product page. Based on the installation videos I believed the emails were set up already just as the pages were, and even checked this in the settings and saw they seemed to be. How do we get them sent out when they buy the ‘product’ which is the membership?
Thank you.

Lets say, you are doing to do scenario 1. Is step 9 and 10 happening when you do the checkout?
October 2, 2014 at 6:05 pm #65767mkmscottMemberHi, thanks for the quick response – I know mine is later.
In answer to your question, this is where I was getting lost (at #9) because we would get an email saying our account user name is XXX and to click a link that would take us to our account page where it prompts a link to change account details. The email at the bottom says ‘powered by Woocommerce’ which makes me think that is on the store end (which we don’t want). When we try to change the account details it says that email already exists and the password is incorrect.
Otherwise we get no other email that prompts with a user name or account link.
October 2, 2014 at 11:49 pm #65768adminKeymasterokay if you are going to use the account management functionality of WooCommerce then emember doesn’t need to create that user account again.
Do you want to let WooCommerce create the account or eMember create the account? Normally, people let emember handle the membership/user management side of things when it is used with emember. Let me know which way you want to go then I will tell you how to set that up.
October 3, 2014 at 6:18 pm #65769mkmscottMemberThank you! I definitely want eMember to run it.
October 4, 2014 at 12:00 am #65770adminKeymasterIn that case, turn off the account creation option in WooCommerce. You will use woocommerce just to do the transaction.
You can use scenario 1 or 2 but let eMemeber do the user creation and management side of things:
