I’m using the WP-FB-Autoconnect plugin to allow users to log on the website via Facebook.
I’ve set up eMember to create eMember accounts for every “normal” WP User account.
Now, when I log to the website with the “Log in with Facebook” button generated by the WP-FB-Autoconnect plugin, it logs just as a WP User. Is there a way to log as eMember whenever you log in as WordPress user?
November 27, 2012 at 9:46 pm #51822PeterMemberCheck your eMember settings page.
There is a section called “WordPress User Integration Settings”. Enable the checkboxe called “Automatically log into eMember” which should achieve what you want.
November 28, 2012 at 6:10 pm #51823Fulvio RomaninMemberThank you Peter for your reply but I just checked and the “Automatically Log into eMember” checkbox is already enabled.
The article you linked says that “When a member logs into eMember, he/she will automatically get logged into the WordPress user system”
I need the opposite, the user should me automatically logged into eMember when he/she logs as WP User (because of the behaviour of the WP-FB-Auto Connect plugin).
I’m doing this because I need to use the bookmark feature, already working when the user logs with Facebook.
Using the “Log into Facebook” button, the user seems logged to the website even as eMember User but the bookmark button is not enabled
November 29, 2012 at 6:41 am #51824adminKeymasterThere are two checkboxes in eMember settings:
1) Automatically log into WordPress
2) Automatically log into eMember
If you check both the above you will get what you are after.
My question to you is the following (I think this is where you issue is):
How are you creating the WordPress user account? Is there a different plugin that is creating the WordPress user account or are you using eMember to create the WP User account?
If there is no corresponding eMember account for a WP User account then none of the above auto login options will work. Does that make sense?
So, lets say you have a WP User called “XYZ”. Do you also have a eMember user with username “XYZ”?
December 7, 2012 at 7:25 pm #51825Fulvio RomaninMemberThey are both checked but apparently the bookmark function is not working.
To answer your question, I do have a eMember user with username XYZ if I have a WP User with the same name.
I will enable the debug mode to see if the debug files help
