Tagged: eMember Profile, member listing
Hello. I was curious if it’s possible to make specific members profiles hidden or private from the member list page? We have a handful of members that do not want their information public. Please let me know if there is a way to accomplish this. Thanks!
I am guessing you are using the profile display extended addon to list the members profile:

The above addon lets you list members from particular membership levels. So you could put your members that do not want to be listed in a separate level and then exclude that level from the list.
Yes, I’m using that addon and I can make that work. Thanks!
Another question on this, is there a way to change the default of how the members show on the page? I filtered out which levels show, the active status, etc. but we would love to sort by last name. Does it help to put that field first? I’m not sure how it is currently sorting, maybe latest added?
I know you can click last name to have them sorted that way (cool feature) but wondered if we can control “default” view. I’m not seeing anywhere to adjust that…
Thanks!
Currently it is sorted by member ID.
Lets say you have a link that your visitors click to go to the members directory. Make the link to the summary list page using a URL like the following (it will sort the member list by name):
