I tried to create wordpress accounts for all my WP eMembers. On the admin page I clicked the “Create WP account for eMember users”. Upon transfer, all of the members passwords changed to “changeme”. Is there any way to revert this? I really need help to fix this problem ASAP so any help on the situation would be much appreciated.
The help text for that feature has all the explanation for you. Here is what it say:
The WordPress user accounts will be created with the same details from eMember but the password will be set to “changeme” (The user will have to change the password to their liking).
Why? The password is kept in the database using an one way encryption so nobody except the member knows what the real password is.
Your users will be able to use the reset password function to set their own password. Or you can tell them to log in using that temporary password and then they will be able to change the password from their profile.
