hi
How do i protect my contect from user sending their login details to others?
thanks!
You can restrict the number of logins coming from different IP addresses for one account.
Look under the “General settings” of the WP eMember plugin you should see the following field:
“Login Restriction by IP Address:”
thanks!
how often IP adress is changed?
if I set it to “1”.
if a user log in and out and disconect from the net , than a different IP will be laocate to him.
what happands than?
thanks!
You can set the value to “2” or some other low number which should allow for the flexibility of a person to log in using another computer etc.
In general most people will usually have the same IP address allocated to them from their ISP – there are of course exceptions such as somebody who might be traveling and using different devices, ISPs etc.
Since this configuration item applies to the number of different IP addresses used “per day”, it is less likely that people will change their IP address more than a couple of times during the same day.
The legitimate “reasons” for why an IP address might change more than twice a day include:
* Good old fashioned dialup connections.
* Alternating between use of home, work, and mobile devices.
* Access from a corporate network.
Semi-legitimate reasons might include:
* Access via a proxy from behind a national (China, Iran, DPRK) firewall.
