What is the best method for preventing custom fields from appearing on the edit profile & registration pages, so that they can only be edited by me and not by the members? (I would edit the field directly in the mySQL database).
Any help much appreciated!
Regards,
Phil
Hi Phil, Our eMember form builder addon will be able to do that. Does this meet your needs?

We only offer complex custom field management via the form builder addon.
I too use form builder addon and love the ease of use.
Not all of these field shows up in each members profile page.
Some fields does show under custom field. Is there any limitation or setting I am missing so that all fields shows under member page=wp_eMember_manage&members_action=add_edit&editrecord page?
@ktokuo, All custom fields will show for the member by default (depending on the level that user belongs to).
You can hide certain fields from the registration or profile form by editing the field in the form builder addon.
When you edit a custom field in form builder addon, you will see a section with the following checkboxes. Use it to hide the field in certain areas.
Show In:
Registration Form
Edit Profile Form
Show in Admin Only?
Thanks for your reply wzp, I’ve just had a quick look and it looks like that add-on may be a good solution.
Thanks,
Phil
