Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP eMember › eMember – Give WordPress "Admin" User access to all eMember Levels/Content
Hi:
I have 4 Free levels of membership in my e-member site, each accessing different content, some having acess to 2 different levels of content, but, when I am in the backend of WordPress, logged in as a WordPress Admin, I would like to them have access to ALL emember levels of protected content.
So, would like all WordPress Admins to automatically or by default be logged in and have acccess to all wp e-member levels/roles/content.
I hope that makes sense. Looked through all of your forums and could not find an answer to this.
Thank you!
The existing system allows for the greatest flexibility. There are “real life” situations in which exclusion of the WordPress admin from the eMember content is desirable.
Also, when you are setting up protection for various pages (while logged in as an admin), you want to see how the protected pages will look like to other users.
If everything is open to the admin by default then the users who like the above option will lose that functionality.
You can do the following to get what you are after.
Create a non expiring, “Admin” membership level and assign yourself to it. You can create a membership level that has access to everything and doesn’t expire. Only your user account will be assigned to that level.
So basically, import your WP Admin user into a membership level that has access to this all access level:
You can import any WP User from the following area of eMember:
WP eMember Members menu -> Import WP Users
