eMember – getting user registration spam via wp-admin registration

Can wpemember be used with the regular wordpress users registration turned off? I am getting spam signups through the regular wp-login page. There is no reason for anyone who isn’t a member to signup for the site.

You can use our free All-In-One Security plugin to secure the wp-admin login:

eMember does not require users to have matching WP accounts, so you can also disable the normal WP registrations. So you will have no issue there.

Also, you can go the General settings of WordPress and uncheck the “Anyone can register” option. That will turn off the option to register via the WordPress’s standard wp-admin login screen. WP eMember doesn’t need/use that option.
