The Generate and Email the Registration Completion link (Bulk Mode) does not appear to be working.
I’m using Version v8.9.1
The links do go out when someone signs up and if I use the Generate a Registration Completion link by adding in the id number, it works but not the bulk.
Is there a much longer wait period before the bulk email goes out?
March 7, 2015 at 1:46 am #68974adminKeymasterI think when the plugin is sending a lot of emails in one go (the bulk option), your server is thinking it is spam so the emails are getting blocked.
How many members do you have that haven’t completed the registration? If it is a small number, try using the individual option.
March 7, 2015 at 11:50 am #68975BrodephatSpectatorYeah the number is less than 20. Okay, I will use the single option and knock them out.
Thanks
July 1, 2016 at 11:30 am #68976karencheahMemberHi, I’m having the same issue. Sending them individually works. I only have 1 incomplete registration in my test site. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Karen

If “…Sending them individually works…” and you “…only have 1 incomplete registration…” then shouldn’t the resolution be to send that “1 incomplete registration” manually, using the Admin Functions?
August 5, 2016 at 5:54 am #68978karencheahMemberThanks for that. I was just testing that it works before actually using it on live data. How can I test the bulk mode?
August 6, 2016 at 2:53 am #68979adminKeymasterThere is no test mode for that if thats what you are looking for. You just use it and it should work.
August 6, 2016 at 5:56 am #68980karencheahMemberHi, sorry for the confusion. I don’t mean that I would like a test mode. But when I used it just to test with one incomplete registration, nothing happened. Hence the reason for my question. I am not confident that it will work when I have more than 1 incomplete registration when it didn’t with just one. Is it working for everyone else?
August 6, 2016 at 2:28 pm #68981wzpModeratorIf you use the Admin Functions, to generate and email 1 link, does *THAT* work?
August 16, 2016 at 12:23 am #68982karencheahMemberNo, that doesn’t work. It says sent but no email received. I’ve checked spam folders, etc. It works on single, but not bulk.
August 16, 2016 at 12:57 am #68983adminKeymaster1) Enable the debug option in the plugin.
2) Reset the log file so you get a clean capture.
3) Do the email sending via the admin functions menu.
4) Then share the log file content so we can see if the plugin sent the email or not.
August 19, 2016 at 2:41 am #68984karencheahMemberI’ve done the debug steps as requested and here are the results of the log files:
[08/19/2016 2:35 AM] – SUCCESS : Log file reset
[08/19/2016 2:37 AM] – SUCCESS :Bulk registration completion email feature. Sending email to:
August 20, 2016 at 12:08 am #68985adminKeymasterLooks like the email field doesn’t even have any value. Edit the member profile in question, do you see an email address value in the email field of this user?
How many of these non-complete member profile do you have on your site?
August 25, 2016 at 1:37 am #68986karencheahMemberHi, there’s definitely an email address value as it works if I send it by ID and I can also see the email address of this member record.
There is only 1 incomplete member because I’ve set it up to test. We wanted to make sure that the bulk email will work before we actually do it for many incomplete members.
September 8, 2016 at 3:25 pm #68987dansmithMemberHi – I am also having the same problem. When i log in debug log there is no email, even though in signup there is an email submitted
