    Hi,

    I have three different types of membership, each requiring slightly different registration fields. For example, for joint memberships I need to display fields to capture the joint member’s first name, surname etc.

    Using the Form Builder Addon I’ve created a generic membership form that includes all the optional fields. The easiest option for me would be to copy the generic form (with 38 fields) to each of the seven membership levels and then delete from each level the one or two fields that are not required.

    Is it possible to copy a Form Builder form from one membership level to another?

    If not, I’ll investigate plan B and using jQuery to optionally hide the fields sets containing the fields that do not need to be displayed for the chosen level.

    Thanks in advance

    Roy

    The forms can’t be copied unfortunately.

    OK, thanks for the prompt response. I resorted to some SQL to copy the forms but have since relented and even thought it is taking longer to implement, gone back to a generic form and jQuery everywhere!

    I’ve only been using Form Builder for a couple of days now and whilst it is very simple and elegant in use I’ve also come across a couple niggles. For example;

    – the two password input controls have the same ID.

    – deleting a user does not delete the associated metadata from wp_members_meta_tbl.

    – data typed in to a textarea gets written to the DB but it is not being redisplayed.

    – and little cosmetic things like the inconsistent “*” mandatory indicator. e.g. the password fields flagged as mandatory in the edit_profile form when they are clearly not mandatory. Sorry I’m notice things like that because I know how easily some users get misled ;-)

    What’s the best way to file bug reports?

    Let me be clear though, the products are great.

    Cheers

    Roy

    Hi Roy, Posting on the forum or sending us an email is good enough for reporting any issue. We will always investigate the issues and apply a fix when necessary. So what you have done is good enough.
