I’ve got a site where I’ve loaded wp-estore and wp-emember and when someone click the link ‘Please Login to view this content. (Not a member? Join Today!)’ to Login, it goes to the page with a ?event=login but it shows a 404 page. Now, if the user clicks the login page from a direct link – all is good. I’ve encountered this before but for the life of me, I cannot remember what the fix was.
Thanks,
Frank
That site is likely has some kind of issue with the ?event=login query argument. Could come from a plugin so worth doing the following test:

To go around the issue, you check the following option in eMember’s settings and that will disable the inline login so the login link goes to the FULL login page:
Disable Inline Login Widget
